- Multi-country implementations
- Direct experience integrating:
- Experience supporting post-go-live / hypercare environments
We are seeking a Senior Oracle E-Business Suite Finance & Project Accounting Lead to support a post-implementation / hypercare engagement for a global enterprise operating across multiple countries and time zones.
The role requires deep, practical expertise in Oracle Projects (PA), Project Billing, and Global Financial Close, with the ability to design solutions—not just execute predefined processes.
Core Responsibilities (Non-Negotiable)
1. Oracle Projects & Project Accounting Ownership
- Own end-to-end Oracle Projects (PA) configuration and support
- Design and support:
- Contract projects
- Capital projects
- Event-based billing
- Milestone-based billing
- Usage-based billing
- Manage cost collection from:
Must have directly configured and supported PA, not just “worked alongside”.
2. Project Billing & Revenue Architecture
- Design and troubleshoot Project Billing using:
- Billing events
- Milestones
- Rate-based billing
- Support multi-stage billing scenarios, such as:
- Shipment-based billing
- Installation/commissioning milestones
- Recurring or usage-based billing
- Ensure clean integration between:
- Projects → AR
- Projects → GL
- Revenue → Accounting
Candidate must be able to explain why one billing model is chosen over another.
3. Global Period Close & Calendar Expertise
- Lead and support monthly financial close for a global enterprise
- Handle complexities such as:
- Transition from 4-4-5 calendar to monthly calendar
- Multiple operating time zones (APAC, EMEA, Americas)
- Cutoff controls and close sequencing
- Define SOPs for:
- Transaction cutoffs
- Accruals
- Period status management
- Audit-safe close processes
This is design responsibility, not checklist execution.
4. Hypercare & Post-Go-Live Support
- Act as Finance & Projects escalation lead during hypercare
- Diagnose issues related to:
- Incomplete revenue
- Billing failures
- Period close blockers
- Cross-module reconciliation gaps
- Work directly with:
- Finance leadership
- IT teams
- External auditors (as needed)
