 Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) Administrator to manage, support, and optimize enterprise cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud administration, infrastructure management, automation, security, and performance optimization. This role requires expertise in designing and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available Google Cloud Platform environments while ensuring operational excellence and cost efficiency.

 Key Responsibilities

• Manage and administer Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) infrastructure including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, and networking services.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain cloud-based applications and services.
• Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available cloud architectures.
• Configure and manage IAM roles, policies, permissions, and access controls.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and ensure platform availability and performance.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization and cost management strategies.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Security, Development, and Infrastructure teams.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and cloud best practices.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments using GKE and Docker.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures. 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of overall IT experience with strong cloud infrastructure expertise.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience administering Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) environments.
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform services including:
• Compute Engine
• Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
• BigQuery
• Cloud Storage
• IAM
• Virtual Private Cloud (VPC)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably Terraform.
• Strong Linux/Unix system administration experience.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts including DNS, VPNs, Load Balancers, Routing, and Firewalls.
• Experience with cloud monitoring and observability tools such as Cloud Monitoring (Stackdriver).
• Experience supporting DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud certifications.
• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms.
• Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and compliance standards.
