We are seeking a Senior Python Developer with 15+ years of professional software development experience and 10+ years of strong hands-on Python development experience to support enterprise-scale applications within the Banking and Financial Services industry.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python, REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems, cloud technologies, SQL, Kubernetes, Docker, and enterprise application architecture. Candidates with recent experience in Banking, Capital Markets, Payments, Investment Banking, Wealth Management, or other Financial Services environments are strongly preferred.

The candidate should be comfortable working with architects, business stakeholders, product owners, QA, DevOps, and engineering teams to design and deliver highly scalable, secure, and reliable applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Python applications for financial services platforms.

• Develop secure and scalable RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed applications.

• Build integrations with banking platforms, payment systems, financial data providers, and cloud services.

• Design highly available systems capable of supporting high transaction volumes and low-latency processing.

• Develop reusable Python frameworks, libraries, automation tools, and services.

• Work with architects, product owners, business analysts, QA, and DevOps teams.

• Perform application performance tuning, scalability improvements, and troubleshooting.

• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data pipelines.

• Participate in architecture discussions, technical design sessions, and code reviews.

• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior and mid-level developers.

• Implement automated testing and CI/CD practices.

• Support enterprise security, compliance, governance, and regulatory requirements.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues in mission-critical applications.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of professional software development experience.

• 10+ years of hands-on Python development.

• Strong experience with Python, REST APIs, microservices, and enterprise application development.

• Hands-on experience with FastAPI, Flask, Django, or similar frameworks.

• Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, and Software Architecture.

• Experience with OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect, SAML, or similar security technologies.

• Experience with REST, SOAP, message queues, and event-driven architectures.

• Strong SQL experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or Snowflake.

• Experience with asynchronous programming, multithreading, concurrency, and performance optimization.

• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
