Scope of the project:
IT Support of health care-related technology for the Agency. Support the Electronic Health Records System, Lab Information System, PACS system, Pharmacy Information System, and all related interfaces and health care technologies.
Daily Duties / Responsibilities:
- Supports the implementation process, including build, testing, and go-live of healthcare applications and technologies, such as the EHR, lab, PACS, pharmacy, and related systems, in conjunction with vendors, clinical, and technical support staff.
- Assists with the maintenance of the health IT infrastructure, including applications, databases, templates, and reporting.
- Help with troubleshooting, triage, escalation, and provide root cause analysis for EMR-related issues.
- Helps create reports for management and users.
- Helps document the current workflow process for medical and mental health care providers.
Required Skills (rank in order of Importance):
- 7+ Years of Experience with Electronic medical records (EMR), preferably NextGen
- 7+ Years of Experience with Mirth Lab Systems
- 7+ Years of Experience EMR Integration
- 7+ Years of Experience with Interoperability and Data Transfer
- 7+ Years of Experience with Healthcare IT Operations
- Experience working directly for a State Government Agency
Preferred Skills (rank in order of Importance):
- Experience with HL7 Messaging
- Experience with FHIR
Required Education/Certifications:
- A bachelor's, degree in business administration, computer science, mathematics, statistics, information science, health administration, biological science, or a related field, and experience in health services, project management, and information technology.
