Summary

We are seeking an experienced Performance Lead to drive the strategy, testing, and optimization of cloud-native applications hosted on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). This role will lead performance engineering initiatives, identify system bottlenecks, optimize high-volume transactions, and ensure scalable, high-performing applications. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience, deep expertise in performance testing, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the performance testing and optimization strategy for cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform.
• Analyze and optimize high-volume transactions, microservices, APIs, and database performance.
• Perform statistical analysis on performance data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and capacity constraints.
• Lead and mentor a team of 4 5 Performance Engineers, providing technical guidance and best practices.
• Design and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing.
• Analyze application, infrastructure, and database performance using observability and monitoring tools.
• Present performance findings, risks, and recommendations to technical teams and executive stakeholders.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, cloud, and architecture teams to improve application performance.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Performance Engineering and Performance Testing.
• Expert knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) performance tuning and observability.
• Hands-on experience with LoadRunner Enterprise (LRE), JMeter, or Gatling.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Experience analyzing large performance datasets and identifying optimization opportunities.
• Proven leadership experience managing or mentoring performance engineering teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience presenting to senior technical and business stakeholders.
