Summary

Role: Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials Costing Consultant

Location: Irvine, CA

Key Responsibilities:

Costing Configuration & Solution Delivery

  • Configure and implement Oracle Fusion Cost Accounting for Manufacturing, Inventory, Procurement, and Order Management flows.
  • Design costing methods (Standard, Average, Actual) and cost accounting rules aligned with business requirements.
  • Set up cost books, valuation structures, overheads, resource rates, and SLA rules.

2. Requirements Analysis & Fit-Gap

  • Conduct workshops with business teams to gather costing, accounting, and valuation requirements.
  • Perform fit-gap analysis and define functional solution documents, BR100/MD50 configurations, and test scenarios.

3. Cost Accounting & Period Close Support

  • Support end-to-end costing transactions:
    • Inventory valuation
    • WIP costs
    • Work order costing
    • Landed cost adjustments
    • Cost distributions
  • Drive month-end close activities including reconciliations, error resolution, and cost accounting validation.

4. Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with SCM, Procurement, Finance, Inventory, Manufacturing, and Order Management teams.
  • Partner with technical teams to support integrations, custom reports, and costing error handling.

5. Reporting & Reconciliation

  • Configure and validate costing-related reports:
    • OTBI
    • BI Publisher reports
    • Cost accounting valuation reports
    • Inventory/GL reconciliation reports
  • Ensure accurate mappings between subledger costing and General Ledger (SLA).

6. Testing & Deployment

  • Create and execute test scripts for SIT and Support UAT
  • Support mock conversions and production cutover activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be in Irvine, CA or within commuting distance of Irvine, CA or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US.
  • Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent, will consider work experience in lieu of a degree
  • hip or Permanent Residency required
  • 5 10+ years of experience in Oracle SCM/Manufacturing/Finance, with 3+ years in Oracle Fusion Cloud Costing.
  • Strong functional knowledge of Cost Accounting, Inventory Valuation, Work Order Costs, Landed Cost Management and Subledger Accounting (SLA)
  • Hands-on experience in configuring - Cost Books, Valuation Structures, Cost Profiles, Overhead & Resource Costs
  • Strong understanding of the Fusion costing data model.
  • Good working knowledge of Inventory, Manufacturing, Procurement, OM (Order Management) and GL/AP for accounting impact
  • Understanding of cost flows across P2P, O2C
  • Experience with: FBDI templates for costing and inventory, OTBI & BIP for costing-related reports, SQL for data analysis and reconciliation
  • Ability to create technical-functional documents (MD50/FBD), BR100s, test scripts, and user training documents.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
