  • Maintain database structure, tables, indexes, partitions, and overall database health.
  • Implement best practices for database design, normalization, and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure optimal database performance and availability.
  • Document database designs, performance issues, and resolution steps.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (On-Premises).
  • Excellent T-SQL skills with proven experience in query optimization (INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, and complex SELECT statements).
  • Deep knowledge of indexing strategies, statistics, and query execution plans.
  • Solid understanding of SQL Server internals (memory architecture, buffer pool, Page Life Expectancy, tempdb, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience diagnosing and resolving locking, blocking, and deadlock issues.
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Good understanding of database structure, table design, and overall database architecture.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with SQL Server Always On, Clustering, or High Availability solutions.
  • Exposure to performance baseline and capacity planning.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of database issues.
