Summary

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver complex healthcare IT projects for UnitedHealth Group. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in managing end-to-end project lifecycles, stakeholder communication, and delivering projects within scope, timeline, and budget.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full project lifecycle from initiation to closure
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including business, IT, QA, and operations
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules
  • Track project progress and ensure timely delivery
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Communicate project status, issues, and updates to stakeholders and leadership
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and company standards
  • Manage vendor coordination and client expectations

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in Project Management
  • Strong experience in Healthcare domain (preferred with UHG or similar clients)
  • Proven experience managing large-scale IT or healthcare projects
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies
  • Proficiency in tools like JIRA, MS Project, or similar
  • PMP / Scrum Master certification preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with healthcare systems such as claims, enrollment, EHR, or payer systems
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and healthcare regulations
  • Experience working with onshore/offshore teams

Soft Skills:

  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
