Role Summary
We are hiring a BI and AI Data Modeler to shape enterprise semantic and analytical models that power executive reporting, operational analytics, and AI enabled use cases. Your work will drive consistent definitions, trusted metrics, and performant models used by senior leadership and business teams across the company.
You will partner closely with data engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders to design Gold layer models within a Medallion Architecture, secure data appropriately, and optimize performance in Power BI. This is a high visibility role that requires critical thinking, excellent communication, and the ability to both dive deep in the details and confidently engage with executives.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, deliver, and maintain enterprise semantic and analytical data models that support company wide reporting and analytics in Power BI
• Define the appropriate grain for fact tables and implement conformed dimensions using star, snowflake, or hybrid patterns aligned to business processes
• Collaborate with data ingestion and engineering teams to promote curated data from Bronze and Silver into Gold within a Databricks Medallion Architecture
• Establish and enforce data security including row level and object level security, masking, and access controls across data stores and reporting layers
• Write performant DAX and SQL for complex business logic, transformations, and aggregations while leading technical code reviews
• Optimize model performance and scalability including partitioning, incremental refresh, indexing and query tuning for large datasets
• Document model structures, data lineage, and business definitions and communicate changes to analytics and visualization teams
• Support AI and ML enablement by modeling features and histories that are reliable, explainable, and production ready

Key Requirements
• 5 plus years of enterprise BI data modeling experience with recent hands on work in Power BI semantic models, DAX, SQL, and Databricks Delta Lake
• Deep experience with dimensional modeling patterns star, snowflake and familiarity with hybrid or data vault concepts for enterprise analytics
• Proficiency in Azure, Databricks notebooks and jobs, SQL performance tuning, Python for data transformation and validation, and CI CD for data and BI deployments
• Demonstrated ability to design Medallion Architecture workflows and promote data to the Gold layer with robust data quality checks completeness, accuracy, consistency, timeliness
• Strong knowledge of Power BI performance and governance including composite models vs single model decisions, incremental refresh, and model optimization
• Practical security expertise including RLS, OLS, data masking, and understanding of Import, DirectQuery, and Live Connection tradeoffs for sensitive data
• Experience operating in complex enterprise environments including legacy SQL Server or SQL Managed Instance and executing root cause analysis and prevention
• Excellent executive facing communication, critical thinking, and stakeholder management with a collaborative team mindset and ability to supervise day to day work without formal HR management

Location, Schedule, and Compensation
• Location Remote with a fully distributed team and no specific time zone requirement
• Schedule Full time
• Compensation 95,000 to 155,000 base depending on experience and location plus benefits

Team and Interview Process
