Summary

Job Description GPP SME (Global Payments Platform Subject Matter Expert) Location: Hybrid or Occasional travel based on candidates location. open for Canada and US locations

We are looking for an experienced GPP SME with strong technical, functional, and customer-facing expertise in ACI Worldwide Global Payments Platform (GPP Classic). The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in issue analysis, configuration, troubleshooting, and production support while effectively engaging with customers and stakeholders.

Key Requirements
1. Strong & Proven GPP Issue/Case Analysis
Expertise in incident triage and root cause analysis.
Ability to recreate issues in lower environments for troubleshooting.
Strong experience in trace analysis, log analysis, and transaction flow investigation.
Hands-on experience with GPP databases, SQL queries, and GUI-based troubleshooting.
Experience handling complex production issues and driving resolution.

2. Deep GPP Classic Business & Functional Knowledge
Strong understanding of GPP Classic architecture and payment processing lifecycle.
Knowledge of payment schemes and message formats including SWIFT, ACH, RTGS, SEPA, and ISO 20022.
Understanding of payment routing, repair queues, validations, sanctions screening, and exception handling.
Ability to translate business requirements into GPP solutions.

3. Proven Hands-on GPP Configuration Experience (Profiles & Rules Setup)
Experience configuring GPP profiles, routing rules, validation rules, and processing parameters.
Ability to implement and troubleshoot configuration changes.
Knowledge of environment setup, deployment activities, and release support.
Experience supporting payment processing enhancements and regulatory changes.

4. Customer-Facing Experience Leading Technical Calls
Proven experience leading technical discussions with clients and business stakeholders.
Ability to explain technical issues, root causes, and remediation plans.
Experience managing critical incidents, escalation calls, and service reviews.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

5. Recent GPP Experience (Last 3 Years)
Must have worked extensively on GPP within the last 3 years.
Hands-on involvement in production support, implementation, upgrade, or enhancement projects.
Experience in banking or payments domain environments supporting critical payment applications.

Overall Qualifications
5+ years of experience with ACI GPP (Global Payments Platform).
Strong SQL and database troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of payment systems and banking operations.
Experience working in Production Support, Application Support, or Payment Operations environments.
Familiarity with ITIL processes, incident management, and problem management.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
