Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Application Architect to design, guide, and oversee the architecture of critical enterprise applications. This role requires broad technical depth across application frameworks, integration patterns, cloud platforms, and modern development practices. The Application Architect will partner closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and technical leads to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and support multi-tier and microservices-based architectures.
- Architect and implement REST APIs and enterprise integration patterns.
- Develop and maintain cloud-native applications on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Work with event-driven, messaging systems like Kafka or MQ.
- Ensure application security using frameworks such as OAuth2, SAML, and JWT.
- Create architecture diagrams, design documentation, and solution roadmaps.
- Perform architectural reviews, analyze technical debt, and evaluate solution alternatives.
- Collaborate with teams in an Agile, Scrum, or SAFe environment.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 10+ years in software development and application design, with at least 5 years as an Application Architect, Technical Lead, or in a similar architecture role.
Technical Skills: A strong hands-on background in Java/J2EE and Spring/Spring Boot is required. Candidates must have experience with relational & NoSQL databases, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps), and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift). Familiarity with tools like Git/Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Maven/Gradle, and Swagger/OpenAPI is expected.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as Cloud (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform Architect), TOGAF, or SAFe Architect.
- Experience with application modernization, cloud migration programs, or domain-driven design.
- Background in financial services or other regulated industries.
