Summary

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Program Manager (Marketing & Communications) for a contract assignment with one of our premier Insurance Services clients in New York, NY . This role will be remote.

Responsibilities :
  • Lead Program Discovery & Audit
    • Conduct a comprehensive audit of customer-facing and internal assets across marketing, digital, communications, content, video, PDF, web, and other channels.
    • Partner with business stakeholders to identify impacted materials, workflows, systems, and dependencies.
    • Interview key stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather requirements, document risks, and establish program scope.
    • Develop and maintain a centralized inventory of affected assets, processes, and owners.
      • Assess complexity, effort, regulatory considerations (which consists of but not limited to) state filing/refiling workflows, compliance approval sequencing, legal/regulatory dependencies tied to rollout and business impact to inform prioritization.
  • Building the Roadmap and Operating
    • Develop a comprehensive program plan outlining phases, milestones, dependencies, resource requirements, and critical paths.
    • Create prioritization frameworks based on business needs, sales cycles, regulatory filing requirements, customer impact, and implementation complexity.
    • Identify workstreams requiring specialized support, including creative, content, digital, compliance, legal, and technology resources.
    • Establish governance structures, decision-making processes, and reporting mechanisms.
    • Build recommendations for sequencing work to balance risk, workload, and operational readiness.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Execution Planning
    • Manage complex dependencies across legal, compliance, product, marketing, and operational readiness, ensuring alignment with regulatory approvals and business rollout timelines.
    • Facilitate working sessions and status meetings to drive alignment, remove blockers, and maintain momentum.
    • Translate business objectives into actionable project plans and execution requirements.
    • Ensure stakeholder accountability and clear ownership across all workstreams.
    • Coordinate planning activities for future execution teams and implementation of resources.
  • Program Leadership & Governance
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for program planning and readiness activities.
    • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including asset throughput, approval cycle efficiency, issue resolution, and overall program health to provide leadership with transparent progress visibility.
    • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, dependencies, and manage approval bottlenecks to minimize business disruption and support successful implementation.
    • Drive high-volume program delivery against established milestones, ensuring timeline adherence across multiple workstreams, channels, and stakeholder groups while proactively addressing schedule risks
    • Create structure within a highly complex and evolving environment.
    • Confidently facilitate discussions with senior leaders and business stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
  • Execution Readiness & Continuous Improvement
    • Establish processes, standards, and tools that will support large-scale execution.
    • Manage review cycles, consolidate feedback, resolve blockers, and keep work moving from intake through final delivery.
    • Apply strong understanding of briefing, concepting, copy/design development, versioning, proofing, approvals, and production handoff.
    • Recommend opportunities to streamline work, reduce risk, and improve efficiency.
    • Support transition from planning/audit phases into full-scale execution and delivery.
Required Skills :
  • 8-10+ years of experience in program management, project management, enterprise transformation, or agency operations.
  • Own end-to-end execution of creative projects, from kickoff through delivery.
  • Lead weekly status meetings, drive decisions, and ensure accountability across teams.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
  • Strong experience conducting discovery, audits, assessments, or operational planning initiatives.
  • Exceptional organizational, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience building program roadmaps, governance structures, and implementation plans.
  • Strong risk management and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to influence and drive decisions without direct authority.
  • Experience managing executive communications and presenting recommendations to senior leaders.
Preferred Skills :
  • Experience in financial services, insurance, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
  • Expertise supporting marketing, creative, digital, or customer communications programs.
  • Understanding regulatory review, compliance processes, and content governance.
  • Experience leading large-scale asset migration, rebranding, modernization, or change management initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Workfront or similar project and portfolio management tools.
