Role Summary
The client is seeking a Workday Lead / Senior Consultant to guide and drive the large‑scale transition from Oracle to Workday Finance for a team of approximately 50 members. This role will provide technical leadership, strategic decision-making, and hands-on mentorship to internal teams throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end Workday Finance implementation and transition effort.
Serve as the primary Workday Subject Matter Expert for the Finance organization.
Drive solution design, configuration strategies, and Workday best practices.
Collaborate with leadership to evaluate build vs. train vs. contractor approaches.
Provide estimates for effort, timelines, and market rates for Workday resources.
Oversee report development, system integrations, and data accuracy.
Train and guide internal team members with limited or no Workday background.
Provide governance, risk management, and issue resolution across the program.
Ensure smooth go-live and post-implementation stabilization.
Must-Have Qualifications
Strong, hands-on experience with Workday Finance modules.
Proven experience leading Workday implementations or migration projects.
Deep understanding of Workday configuration, security, and reporting.
Ability to advise leadership on cost, resourcing, and training strategies.
Excellent communication skills with strong leadership presence.

Advanced experience with Workday Reporting
Knowledge of SQL
Experience using Python for analytics or automation
Prior work managing contractors or vendor teams
Experience mentoring teams without prior Workday exposure
