Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Production Support Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role is focused on Production Services, including Problem/Incident Management, Release/Deployment, and Application Monitoring. The successful candidate will identify potential production failures, create and manage tickets, and communicate effectively with development and business teams. This position requires taking ownership of escalations to troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve complex issues using advanced query and programming skills within a dynamic production support environment.
Responsibilities: - Manage incidents, releases, deployments, and operational readiness for production applications
- Identify possible production failure scenarios and create incident, enhancement, and problem tickets
- Communicate effectively with development and internal business operations teams
- Identify vulnerabilities and opportunities for improvement in production services
- Create and enhance administrative, operational, and technical policies and procedures
- Take ownership of escalations to perform troubleshooting, analysis, research, and resolution
- Serve as an escalation point for moderately complex unresolved problems, complaints, and service requests
- Provide leadership and strategic/tactical direction on technology issues
Requirements: - 5 or more years in Java development or Production Support, Performance Testing, and/or related technical environment
- 5 or more years working in a Linux environment
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Datadog, or New Relic
- Experience with one or more of the following: AppDynamics, Introscope, Dynatrace
- Scripting in Bash and/or PowerShell

Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
