The role requires strong expertise in QNX, Embedded Linux, Android/Android Automotive, Qualcomm platforms, embedded architecture, system integration, and technical program coordination.
  • The architect will understand customer requirements, define solution approaches, drive architecture decisions, coordinate offshore specialists, review technical deliverables, manage cross-workstream dependencies, and ensure that LTTS commitments are delivered with the expected quality and timelines.

Mandatory Skills
  • 12+ years of embedded software development and platform architecture experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience in C and C++.
  • Strong architecture and development experience across QNX, Embedded Linux, and Android.
  • Experience with Android platform, middleware, framework, native services, HAL, NDK, JNI, AIDL, APEX, and Project Treble.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and QNX internals, including processes, threads, IPC, scheduling, memory, storage, networking, and system services.
  • Experience with embedded platform services, middleware, device interfaces, hardware abstraction, and cross-platform libraries.
  • Experience with Qualcomm Snapdragon platforms, preferably automotive or similarly complex embedded platforms.
  • Understanding of QNX Hypervisor, virtualization, and multi-OS platform architectures.
  • Experience in system performance analysis, benchmarking, profiling, instrumentation, and optimization.
  • Understanding of embedded-device observability, telemetry, health monitoring, diagnostics, logging, and remote debugging.
  • Working knowledge of embedded platform security, secure boot, keys, certificates, signing, TPM/TEE, secure updates, and network security.
  • Understanding of on-device AI architecture, model deployment, edge-AI constraints, and Qualcomm AI capabilities.
  • Experience in Linux-to-Android service migration and platform modernization.
  • Strong troubleshooting capability across application, middleware, operating system, driver, hardware, and network layers.
  • Proven experience leading customer-facing architecture discussions and distributed engineering teams.
  • Excellent technical communication, presentation, documentation, stakeholder-management, and decision-making skills.

Secondary/Preferred Skills
  • Qualcomm AI Engine and QNN SDK experience.
  • Automotive IVI, ADAS, IFE, airline, transportation, or connected-device domain experience.
  • Multimedia platform experience covering audio, video, Bluetooth, and network audio.
  • Android CTS/VTS experience.
  • Device communication experience involving SPI, I2C, UART, GPIO, USB, CAN, Ethernet, or TCP/IP.
  • Knowledge of Linux Device Driver development, bootloaders, secure boot, and power management.
  • Experience with GDB, QNX Momentics, ADB, Logcat, Perfetto, Valgrind, and other profiling or diagnostic tools.
  • Exposure to SAST, DAST, security analysis, static analysis, and code-quality tools.
  • Experience with Git, GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and virtualized development environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, Jira, Confluence, and requirements-management tools.
  • Experience developing technical PoCs and transitioning validated concepts into production development.
