Description
We are looking for a skilled Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst to join our team in Riverview, Michigan. In this Contract to permanent position, you will provide comprehensive technical support to end users, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, applications, and platforms. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to troubleshooting, strong communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to end users by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
Install, configure, and maintain workstations, peripheral devices, and network components.
Document and manage help desk tickets, ensuring timely resolution and accurate record-keeping.
Perform on-site analysis and resolution of IT issues, recommending and implementing effective solutions.
Apply software updates, patches, and upgrades as needed to maintain system functionality.
Support email systems, network connectivity, telecommunications, and peripheral equipment.
Assist with the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of IT systems, including data backups and security standards.
Maintain an inventory of IT assets and ensure compliance with organizational IT policies.
Prepare and update documentation, following established operating procedures.
Participate in on-call rotations and work off-shift hours as required to meet project deadlines.
Requirements
Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of two years of experience in IT support or a related field with a strong attention to detail.
Strong knowledge of network hardware, protocols, and current PC operating systems.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory, VMware, and network troubleshooting.
Proficiency in resolving issues related to Microsoft Windows 10 and service desk tickets.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
Familiarity with data privacy practices, laws, and IT security standards.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in high-pressure environments.
