Genesis10 is currently seeking a Java Full Stack Developer - Remote position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role involves full-stack development with a strong focus on core Java, Spring Boot microservices, and modern UI technologies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, and troubleshooting large-scale systems within an Agile environment, contributing to both back-end and front-end components.
Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain web applications using Java, Spring MVC, and Spring Boot for microservices
- Design and implement REST-based web services
- Integrate systems using a wide variety of protocols such as REST, SOAP, and JSON
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in large, complex systems by drilling down to the code level
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), including design, coding, integration, and unit testing
Requirements: - At least 7+ years of professional development experience
- Strong core Java skills
- 3+ years of experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture
- Excellent knowledge of Spring Framework (version 3 and above) and dependency injection
- Good understanding of Hibernate/JPA and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM)
- Experience in UI development with Angular, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, or JSP
- Proficiency with database SQL
- Experience with Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins
- Experience with source code management tools such as Git, BitBucket, or Subversion
- Familiarity with Agile tools and methodologies (Scrum, Confluence, JIRA)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Desired skills: - Knowledge of testing frameworks such as JUnit, Selenium, or Cucumber
- Experience with build tools like Maven or Gradle
- Experience with messaging solutions like MQ or Apache Kafka
- Knowledge of Spring Batch or other batch processing frameworks
- Experience with SQL and website performance tuning
Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
