Summary

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Autonomous Network Architect to lead the design and deployment of highly autonomous networks capable of intent-driven operations, autonomous decision-making, self-healing, self-optimization, and continuous learning across multiple network domains.

The role will focus on building Level 4 autonomous network capabilities, where systems can analyze, decide, execute, verify, and continuously adapt with minimal human intervention. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise across telecom/networking, network automation, AIOps, AI/Agentic systems, cloud-native technologies, and closed-loop automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define enterprise-wide Autonomous Network architecture, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Design intent-based networking and autonomous operations frameworks.
  • Build end-to-end closed-loop automation covering:
    • Fault Management
    • Performance Management
    • Configuration Management
    • Service Assurance
    • Security Operations
  • Develop autonomous decision engines using AI Agents, LLMs, Knowledge Graphs, and Reinforcement Learning.
  • Build self-healing and self-optimizing workflows with automated verification and rollback mechanisms.
  • Implement Agentic AI frameworks for assurance, optimization, provisioning, change management, and service fulfillment.
  • Create and leverage Digital Twin environments for simulation and autonomous decision validation.
  • Lead cross-domain automation initiatives across RAN, Core, Transport, Cloud, and Edge networks.
  • Establish AI governance, guardrails, explainability, and operational risk controls.
  • Define autonomy KPIs and drive Autonomous Network maturity and Level 4 assessments.
  • Provide technical thought leadership and represent the organization in relevant industry forums and standards organizations.
  • Lead solution architecture and autonomous network transformation programs.
  • Define target-state architecture and autonomy maturity roadmaps.
  • Mentor engineering teams and establish architecture and engineering best practices.
  • Drive innovation and develop reusable autonomous network accelerators.

Required Skills & Experience

Autonomous Networking

  • Strong knowledge of Autonomous Network architectures and frameworks.
  • Experience with Intent-Based Networking and Closed-Loop Automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Digital Twins, Policy-Driven Operations, and Zero-Touch Network Management.
  • Understanding of autonomous network maturity models and Level 4 autonomy.

AI & Agentic Systems

  • Experience with AI/Agentic systems and multi-agent architectures.
  • Strong understanding of LLM integration and AI-powered decision engines.
  • Experience with Reinforcement Learning and/or Knowledge Graphs.
  • Experience with AIOps/MLOps and AI-driven network operations.
  • Understanding of AI governance, explainability, guardrails, and operational risk management.

Telecom & Networking

  • Strong telecom/networking background with experience across one or more of:
    • Open RAN
    • Near-RT RIC / Non-RT RIC
    • 5G Core
    • Network Slicing
    • NWDAF Analytics
    • Service Orchestration
    • Cloud-Native Telco Platforms

Cloud & Software Engineering

  • Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift.
  • Strong knowledge of at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with Event-Driven Architectures and API-based integrations.
  • Knowledge of API Management and DevSecOps practices.
  • Strong software architecture and automation experience.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Lead solution architecture for autonomous network transformation programs.
  • Define target-state architecture and long-term network autonomy maturity roadmaps.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering and architecture teams.
  • Establish reusable frameworks, accelerators, and best practices for autonomous operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive adoption of AI-driven and zero-touch network operations.

Experience

  • 12+ years of experience in Telecom, Networking, or related technology domains.
  • 5+ years of experience in Network Automation and/or AIOps.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering intent-driven, closed-loop, or autonomous network solutions.
  • Experience leading large-scale architecture, automation, or network transformation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of telecom networks, cloud-native technologies, automation, and AI-driven operations.
