Term: 3 months (possibility of extension)

Summary

Supports the trading desk through accurate and timely execution of market data. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong ownership of recurring BAU processes, and the ability to learn, retain, and independently execute detailed procedures with minimal repeated guidance. Works closely with Front Office, Middle Office, Technology, and other stakeholders to maintain trading system and data integrity, investigate discrepancies, and improve controls and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily input and maintenance of market data, including swap rates, spreads, and exchange-traded security prices across multiple currencies.
  • Investigate unexpected results and discrepancies rather than relying solely on system outputs or predefined status indicators.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of assigned processes, including upstream/downstream dependencies, data sources, manual adjustments, control points, and escalation procedures.
  • Maintain clear working procedures/checklists and incorporate new instructions or process changes into daily execution.
  • Take ownership of assigned processes and progressively operate them independently after the training period.
  • Independently perform control checks to ensure market data and valuation inputs are accurate and complete before sign-off.

Critical requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in daily control processes.
  • Strong ownership and ability to independently investigate and resolve issues.
  • Ability to learn complex processes and work independently in a fast-paced trading environment.
  • Comfortable managing recurring BAU responsibilities while maintaining consistent quality and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Technical / product skills

  • Knowledge of derivatives products, including interest rate swaps, options, caps/floors, swaptions, and other structured products.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with data analysis.
  • Programming experience in Python, VBA, SQL, or similar languages for automation and analytics.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with Front Office, Middle Office, Technology, and senior stakeholders.
