STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Power BI Lead Developer / Microsoft Fabric Architect on behalf of our client in Remote

We are seeking an architect-level Microsoft Fabric professional with deep expertise in Power BI architecture, enterprise analytics modernization, and Microsoft Fabric migrations. The ideal candidate will lead large-scale migration initiatives, design scalable analytics platforms, optimize performance across Power BI and Fabric workloads, and provide technical leadership to distributed development teams.

This role requires strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI semantic modeling, advanced DAX optimization, Direct Lake architecture, SQL, Python, and enterprise analytics governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise Power BI migration initiatives from Premium/Fixed Capacity environments to Microsoft Fabric.

  • Design, develop, and optimize Power BI semantic models, dashboards, and Fabric-native analytics solutions.

  • Drive performance tuning initiatives across DAX, VertiPaq, Formula Engine, and Storage Engine workloads.

  • Implement Direct Lake architectures and optimize Fabric storage, caching, and workload performance.

  • Develop SQL and Python solutions for analytics, reporting, automation, and data engineering use cases.

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and DevOps best practices.

  • Lead offshore development teams and coordinate delivery across distributed environments.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to deliver scalable analytics solutions.

  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and best-practice guidance on Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.

  • Support governance, release management, and production deployments.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Analytics, or related disciplines.

  • 5+ years of hands-on Power BI development and architecture experience.

  • 3+ years of Microsoft Fabric implementation, optimization, or migration experience.

  • Strong expertise in advanced DAX, semantic modeling, and Power BI performance tuning.

  • Experience optimizing VertiPaq models, cardinality, partitioning, compression, and query performance.

  • Strong SQL and Python development skills.

  • Experience implementing and optimizing Direct Lake architecture.

  • Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD automation.

  • Experience leading offshore or distributed development teams.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, or Azure certifications.

  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale Fabric or Power BI Premium environments.

  • Knowledge of data governance, security frameworks, and enterprise reporting platforms.

  • Consulting, systems integration, or managed services experience.

  • Experience within Retail, Consumer Products, or Manufacturing industries.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will be an architect-level Microsoft Fabric expert with proven experience leading Power BI modernization initiatives, executing enterprise Fabric migrations, optimizing large-scale semantic models, and delivering high-performance analytics solutions. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement capabilities are essential.
