Job Description

The Manager, Radio Frequency (RF) Engineering is a highly engaged, hands-on leader responsible for driving technical excellence and leading the RF engineering team across a diverse product portfolio. This role plays a critical part in shaping and executing RF design and development efforts, while actively contributing to cross-functional engineering initiatives on assigned programs. The manager is accountable for delivering innovative, high-quality products, fostering team growth, and achieving strong operational and program results through proactive leadership and deep technical involvement.

Responsibilities

  • Actively lead and manage the RF engineering team, driving accountability to meet technical, cost, and schedule objectives across new product development, proposals, and IR&D efforts
  • Provide deep RF and mmWave technical expertise, supporting operations and cross-functional teams to achieve customer satisfaction, revenue, profitability, and continuous improvement goals
  • Lead cross-functional engineering activities as the responsible engineering manager for assigned programs, proposals, and IR&D, ensuring alignment, execution, and delivery
  • Collaborate closely with engineering leadership to enable high-performing, cross-functional and cross-site teams, including coordination of resources, toolsets, and engineering processes
  • Own resource planning and staffing strategy, including monthly labor loading analysis, to align team capabilities and capacity with evolving program demands
  • Identify and drive acquisition of critical infrastructure, including capital equipment, RF/mmWave tools, and software licenses required for successful execution
  • Ensure all engineering activities comply with ISO (QMS) standards, applying appropriate rigor and tailoring based on program complexity and risk
  • Lead talent management initiatives, including recruiting, mentoring, training, performance management, and succession planning, to build and sustain a highly capable RF/mmWave engineering organization
  • Promote continuous advancement of RF and mmWave capabilities, ensuring the team remains technically competitive, innovative, and aligned with industry trends

Qualifications

Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (RF focused Master's Degree preferred)
    • Minimum four (4) years of experience in people management.
    • Minimum ten (10) years of experience in field.
  • OR Masters Degree
    • Minimum two (2) years of experience in people management.
    • Minimum six (8) years of experience in field.
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Security Clearance.
