Description
We are looking for a skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to join our team in Houston, Texas, on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing BI solutions that support business decision-making processes. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and leverage cutting-edge technologies to deliver impactful insights.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain BI solutions using technologies such as BusinessObjects, Cognos, and DAX.
Collaborate with business users to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into actionable insights.
Create and manage dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support organizational analytics needs.
Work with APIs, including Maps API, to integrate data sources and enhance reporting capabilities.
Optimize data pipelines and workflows using Informatica to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Design comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) that outline project objectives and deliverables.
Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement.
Ensure data security and compliance across all BI processes and solutions.
Provide ongoing technical support and training to business users.
Stay updated on emerging BI technologies and recommend their integration into existing systems.
Requirements
Proven experience with BusinessObjects, Cognos, DAX, and Informatica.
Strong understanding of Business Intelligence technologies and tools.
Proficiency in creating dashboards, visualizations, and analytical reports.
Familiarity with Maps API and its integration into BI solutions.
Ability to develop detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).
Effective communication skills to collaborate with business users and technical teams.
Solid problem-solving capabilities with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
Knowledge of data security and compliance protocols.
