Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

Hands-on expertise in .NET Core, EF Core, and Azure Functions.

Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Core, Core, Entity Framework, and Web / REST APIs.

810 years of hands-on experience designing and architecting enterprise software solutions, including cloud-based applications using C#, .NET Core, Core, Entity Framework, and Web / REST APIs.

Hands-on application development experience using core Azure components:

Azure SQL Database

Azure Blob Storage

App Service

Azure Functions

Service Bus & Queues

Azure API Management (APIM)

Proven experience applying design patterns and best-practice approaches to address challenges in re-engineering complex legacy systems.

5+ years of experience with Azure DevOps (specifically Git repositories, pull requests, and CI/CD deployment pipeline creation).

3+ years developing UI-based applications leveraging modern practices and tools (Blazor, Responsive Design, Bootstrap, Modular CSS, AJAX).

35 years of prior technical management experience leading and mentoring teams of software engineers.

Ability to build relationships, balance multiple priorities, and communicate across diverse teams.

Demonstrated ability to navigate and resolve ambiguous situations.

Experience working in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.

Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise, project oversight, communication, and collaboration within assigned development team(s) and with stakeholders, guiding and ensuring projects meet specifications.

Play a key role in architecting, designing, and building performant and scalable solutions using the Microsoft .NET Core stack and Azure platform.

Design and develop software applications across all tiers (full stack): persistence, business logic, service layers, front end, and APIs.

Write scalable, testable, and high-quality code aligned with functional and non-functional requirements.

Work closely with offshore counterparts to mentor the team, ensuring proactive, predictable delivery and strict adherence to quality standards.

Mentor engineers on software engineering best practices via design reviews and code reviews; ensure delivery of high-quality, value-driven, and operationally efficient features.

Own the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), leading development from project inception and architecture planning through release and production support.

Build robust relationships across development teams, business analysts, and key project stakeholders.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and engineering managers to drive continuous improvement in architecture, tooling, and delivery processes.

Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, keeping leadership apprised of strategies, operational progress, technical risks, issues, and mitigation plans.
