Job Description
The Project Manager will provide enterprise IT project management services in support of the Client Enterprise Portfolio Services (EPS). The role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering small, medium, and large-scale IT initiatives in alignment with State project management standards, ensuring projects meet scope, schedule, cost, quality, and governance requirements.
The Project Manager will work closely with Client stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and executive leadership to ensure successful project execution throughout the Project Approval Lifecycle (PAL) and Project Delivery Lifecycle (PDL).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of verifiable experience (within the last 10 years) managing enterprise-level IT projects.
- Strong experience in Project / Program Management (10+ years)
- Proven delivery experience in Cloud environments (AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform)
- Expertise in project governance, lifecycle management, and enterprise delivery
- Hands-on experience with Agile / Scrum / SAFe methodologies
- Demonstrated experience performing project management activities across scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, and communications.
- Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders, vendors, and public-sector IT teams.
- Familiarity with State or large public-sector IT environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage enterprise-level IT projects from initiation through closure, reporting to the Client Contract Manager.
- Develop and maintain Project Charters, Project Management Plans, and supporting subsidiary plans (scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, and communications).
- Coordinate and support Project Approval Lifecycle (PAL) and Project Delivery Lifecycle (PDL) activities and documentation.
- Plan, track, and report project schedules, budgets, risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring alignment with approved baselines.
- Prepare and deliver project status reports, executive briefings, and IT governance presentations for leadership and oversight committees.
- Establish and maintain Microsoft SharePoint project repositories to manage project artifacts, schedules, risks, issues, actions, and decisions.
- Perform risk management, including identification, analysis, mitigation planning, escalation, and maintenance of risk registers.
- Perform issue and change management, including impact analysis, tracking, documentation, and coordination of approvals.
- Coordinate and oversee vendor and subcontractor activities, ensuring deliverables meet contractual requirements, quality standards, and timelines.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, project team meetings, and executive sessions; prepare agendas, meeting materials, and notes.
