What You Will Do:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solutions Architect with deep experience in Azure and AWS to support federal modernization, cloud migration, and enterprise architecture initiatives. This role involves working directly with federal clients, engineering teams, and program leadership to design, implement, and optimize secure, scalable cloud solutions aligned with government compliance frameworks.

The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to bridge technical and mission needs in a fast-moving federal environment.
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of cloud/hybrid architectures within Azure, AWS, On-Prem environments.
  • Provide technical leadership to engineering, DevSecOps, and application modernization teams.
  • Develop architecture artifacts, cloud reference models, diagrams, and roadmaps for federal programs.
  • Assess legacy systems and produce migration strategies aligned with federal security, compliance, and operational requirements.
  • Advise program leadership on cloud capabilities, cost optimization, zero-trust alignment, and long-term modernization paths.
  • Ensure adherence to federal security controls (NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, TIC 3.0) and agency-specific compliance mandates.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, networking, data, and application teams to ensure integrated, end-to-end system performance.
  • Participate in technical solutioning for RFPs, RFIs, and proposal efforts, including BOEs and architecture narratives.

What You Will Need:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "TOP SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance and ability to obtain SCI.
  • Minimum of Eight (8) years of experience in cloud engineering, cloud architecture, or enterprise systems engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree or four(4) additional years of experience is needed in lieu of degree.
  • Hands-on experience architecting in Azure and AWS (multi-cloud experience strongly preferred).
  • Ability to produce architecture documentation, technical design artifacts, and compliance-ready engineering materials.
  • Experience with federal IT environments, including cloud security baselines and agency ATO processes.
  • Strong understanding of virtualization, networking, IAM, monitoring, logging, and cloud governance.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and translating mission requirements into technical designs.

The annual salary range for this position is $149,000.00-$248,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
