Mechanical Designer (Hybrid)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Plano, TX that is seeking a Mechanical Designer.

Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented mechanical designer with expertise in SolidWorks to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise mechanical designs and detailed 3D models and drawings to support manufacturing. You will work closely with engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure designs meet specifications, timelines, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks
* Create and revise detailed 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly
* Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to develop new projects and meet customer on-time delivery dates
* Be able to read submittal documentation to design and modify projects
* Support mechanical engineers and production teams by implementing design changes based on shop floor redlines and feedback; update drawings and models accordingly using SolidWorks
* Performs other job-related duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
* Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting & Design, or a related field
* 5+ years of experience in drafting, drawing review, manufacturing documentation, or a related technical role
* 5+ years of BOM management experience within an ERP system, preferably Epicor
* Proficiency with SolidWorks, including drawings, sheet metal, weldments, and Design Checker
* Experience managing SolidWorks PDM Vault environments

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
