Job Summary

Overview

Seeking an experienced Imaging Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and service advanced medical imaging equipment across hospital environments. The role supports high-end imaging modalities, ensures maximum equipment uptime, maintains regulatory compliance, and provides technical support to clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, calibrations, and performance testing on medical imaging systems.

Diagnose, repair, install, and commission imaging equipment.

Troubleshoot hardware, software, and system faults.

Maintain accurate service records and equipment documentation.

Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and quality standards.

Support inventory management, including spare parts and equipment records.

Work alongside clinical staff to minimise equipment downtime.

Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers when required.

Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance where appropriate.

Equipment Supported

Experience in one or more of the following is highly desirable:

MRI

CT

Cath Lab

Radiation Oncology / Linear Accelerators

General X-ray

Fluoroscopy

Other diagnostic imaging systems

Requirements

Minimum 3 years' experience servicing medical imaging equipment.

Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.

Experience with preventative maintenance, repairs, installations, and calibrations.

Good understanding of computer hardware, networking, and software diagnostics.

Ability to read technical documentation and service manuals.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel as required.

Ability to lift equipment/components up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

Associate degree/HND/HNC or equivalent qualification in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent industry experience).

Bachelor's degree preferred but not essential.

Experience with Microsoft Office and networking principles.

Ideal Background
