Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Data Analyst to join our team in McLean, VA. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in SQL, databases, data analysis, and reporting tools such as Power BI. The candidate will work closely with business and technology teams to analyze data, generate insights, create dashboards, and support data-driven decision-making.
Required Skills & Experience
* 7+ years of experience as a Data Analyst
* Strong hands-on experience with SQL and database technologies
* Experience writing complex SQL queries for data extraction, analysis, and validation
* Good understanding of relational databases and data models
* Strong experience with Power BI and other data analytics/reporting tools
* Experience creating dashboards, reports, and visualizations for business users
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Experience working with large datasets and performing data analysis
* Ability to communicate findings effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Technical Skills
* SQL (advanced querying, joins, aggregations, performance optimization)
* Databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
* Power BI for dashboarding and reporting
* Experience with Excel and data visualization tools
* Knowledge of ETL processes and data pipelines is a plus
* Familiarity with Python, Tableau, or other analytics tools is an added advantage
Responsibilities
* Analyze large datasets and provide actionable insights to business teams
* Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI
* Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting and analysis
* Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks
* Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements
* Support data-driven decision-making across teams
* Collaborate with developers, QA, and business teams for data-related initiatives
* Troubleshoot reporting and data issues and provide timely resolutions
* Support production deployments and post-release validation activities when required
