Cloud Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Cloud Engineer in Merrimack, NH.

Duties Include:
* Hands-on deploying, scaling, and operating non-relational databases (e.g., Aerospike, Neo4j) in public cloud environments, with a strong focus on automation and CI/CD pipeline development using GitHub, Artifactory, and Jenkins
* Configuring and deploying applications in public cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS
* Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, OpenTofu, or ARM templates
* Ability to think innovatively and automate administrative and operational tasks, using Python, Groovy, Java, Jenkins, and/or shell scripting to design, create, and deploy automated processes for installing, upgrading, and rehydrating resources across public cloud and on premise environments
* Hands-on applying Markdown languages (e.g., Markdown, CommonMark, GitHub Flavored Markdown) in VS Code and modern IDEs to drive automation, maintain configuration artifacts, and streamline developer workflows
* Configuring alerts and monitoring to support highly available and resilient platforms

REQUIREMENTS:
* Hands-on experience deploying, scaling, and operating non-relational databases (e.g., Aerospike, Neo4j) in public cloud environments, with a strong focus on automation and CI/CD pipeline development using GitHub, Artifactory, and Jenkins
* Strong Unix/Linux knowledge and experience configuring and deploying applications in public cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS
* Proven experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, OpenTofu, or ARM templates
* Ability to think innovatively and automate administrative and operational tasks, using Python, Groovy, Java, Jenkins, and/or shell scripting to design, create, and deploy automated processes for installing, upgrading, and rehydrating resources across public cloud and on-premise environments
* Hands-on experience applying Markdown languages (e.g., Markdown, CommonMark, GitHub Flavored Markdown) in VS Code and modern IDEs to drive automation, maintain configuration artifacts, and streamline developer workflows
* Experience configuring alerts and monitoring to support highly available and resilient platforms
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to triage and resolve production issues and outages
* Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams

Bonus Skills:
* Public cloud certification (Azure or AWS)
* Experience deploying and maintaining Kubernetes clusters in a public cloud environment
* Experience designing, developing, or integrating AI agents, including orchestration of workflows, tool use, and interaction with cloud-native services

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
