Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and support modern enterprise applications within a cloud-native environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced Agile teams and enjoys solving complex technical challenges across application modernization, cloud engineering, DevOps, and enterprise integration initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, AWS, microservices, and modern DevOps practices, with experience delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring Boot, and modern software engineering practices.
• Build, enhance, and support RESTful APIs and microservices, including integration, automated testing, deployment, and production support.
• Develop cloud-native applications on AWS using containerized deployments with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Lead Gradle dependency upgrades, framework modernization, and application transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize application performance, and deliver scalable, resilient solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Implement secure coding standards, automated testing, and DevOps best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Support production environments by monitoring application health and resolving technical issues.

Required Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience developing enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Extensive experience with Gradle dependency management, framework upgrades, and application modernization.
• Strong expertise designing, building, and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Hands-on experience with:
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • DevOps tools
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes
  • Automated software delivery processes
• Advanced experience with SQL and PostgreSQL, including:
  • Database design
  • Performance tuning
  • Query optimization
  • Troubleshooting
• Experience working in Agile environments and applying software engineering best practices.
• Strong understanding of secure coding, automated testing, and observability principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing front-end applications using Angular.
• Experience in financial services, banking, capital markets, consulting, or other highly regulated industries.
• Exposure to application modernization, legacy transformation, and distributed systems architectures.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as:

  • Grafana
  • Prometheus
  • AWS CloudWatch
• Knowledge of OWASP security practices, enterprise architecture patterns, and high-availability production environments.
