Role Overview
This organization is seeking a professional GenAI Platform Engineer to design, develop, and oversee the end-to-end implementation of a new generative AI platform and its associated business use cases. The successful candidate will establish architectural approaches for software and hardware integration with a strong focus on quality, performance, resiliency, and reusability. This position offers the opportunity to lead cross-disciplinary teams and collaborate closely with key stakeholders to deliver technical solutions that align with strategic business priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and oversee the end-to-end implementation of the new generative AI platform and related business use cases.
- Develop architectural approaches for AI software and hardware integration, emphasizing quality, performance, resiliency, and reusability.
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to understand and fulfill organizational objectives.
- Lead cross-disciplinary teams to deliver technical solutions that align with business priorities and expectations.
- Identify, prioritize, and execute complex tasks throughout the software development life cycle.
- Establish standards and drive automation initiatives for end-to-end SDLC efficiency.
- Mentor team members in technical design and development best practices.
- Drive platform performance, scalability, and resiliency testing.
- Implement hardware upgrades and software enhancements to meet global performance expectations.
- Address regulatory and performance-driven requirements for the regionalization and localization of infrastructure and platforms.
- Conduct research and prototyping to evaluate and identify new solutions that enhance platform and team capabilities.
- Monitor industry trends and stay abreast of advancements in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science to continuously innovate.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
Experience: Seven or more years of experience in Python development, alongside proven experience in designing and implementing multi-tier application platforms, including microservices. A demonstrated ability to plan and lead delivery by functionally diverse and geographically dispersed teams is required.
Technical Skills: High coding proficiency in Python and Unix scripting is required, including at least one year of experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). Strong knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle or MySQL, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, is necessary, as well as experience with FastAPI and large structured and unstructured dataset processing. Familiarity with front-end languages, libraries, and frameworks including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and jQuery is also required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing data analytics or artificial intelligence solutions.
- Knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Familiarity with LLM fine-tuning and development tools for agentic solutions.
