Systems Engineering Manager
Location: Maryville, TN | Hybrid | Full-Time
Join a highimpact technology organization leading core identity, access, messaging, and endpoint management for a large enterprise. This role owns the systems that keep every team member connected, secure, and productive across onprem, cloud, and mobile environments. You will partner deeply across engineering, security, and operations to modernize identity, streamline device management, and strengthen hybrid infrastructure.
What You ll Do
Lead and develop a highperforming Systems Engineering team
Drive roadmaps for identity modernization, device lifecycle automation, and collaboration platforms
Oversee Active Directory and Entra ID operations including domain services, synchronization, and access controls
Manage Exchange environments across onprem and cloud, ensuring secure and reliable mail flow
Comanage Azure identity and infrastructure in partnership with Cloud Engineering
Administer Okta, MFA, Passkeys, and authentication policies
Oversee Proofpoint, DMARC, and DKIM configurations for trusted email delivery
Lead patching and compliance using SCCM, Intune, Windows Autopatch
Manage MDM, Autopilot provisioning, and endpoint lifecycle processes
Direct OS packaging and deployment for servers and endpoints
Oversee user and application access management with a focus on leastprivilege and compliance
Maintain standards, documentation, KPIs, SLAs, and ITILaligned operations
What We re Looking For
7 or more years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure roles, including 4 or more years of people leadership
Handson expertise with Active Directory, Entra ID, Exchange, Intune, and SCCM
Strong understanding of authentication standards including SAML, OAuth, MFA, Passkeys, Conditional Access
Proven experience running hybrid enterprise environments
Ability to guide, mentor, and elevate senior technical talent
Strong communication skills and the ability to represent engineering in leadership forums
Bonus Skills
Experience with Okta, Proofpoint, DMARC, and DKIM
PowerShell automation and infrastructureascode familiarity
Exposure to ITIL practices and operational governance
Microsoft certifications such as M365 Administrator, Identity and Access Administrator, or Azure Administrator
