A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for an IP Engineer

Position Type:    Full-Time, Contract to Hire
Duration:            (6-12) months
Location:             Melbourne, FL (Onsite)

As an IP Engineer, you will:

Provide Tier 3 (highest level) support for troubleshooting and resolving IP backbone and customer routing issues.
Design, engineer, and implement scalable network solutions to support customer needs and critical backbone architectures.
Support and collaborate with a team of 6–7 network engineers.
Act as a technical escalation point for complex network incidents and outages..
Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
Create training materials and provide knowledge transfer to engineering and NOC teams.
Ensure network designs meet reliability, performance, and security standards.
Support ongoing network optimization, upgrades, and architectural improvements.
Participate in project execution, planning, and cross team coordination as needed.

The ideal candidate will have:

Bachelor of Science in Networking, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent 4?year degree)
8+ years of hands on network engineering experience with IP networks
6+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing IP and MPLS network architectures
Strong IP configuration and troubleshooting experience with protocols such as BGP, OSPF, ISIS, PIM, EIGRP, HSRP, VPLS, VRFs, L3VPN, and Ethernet (The person doesn’t necessarily have to be an expert in all, but some of them).
Experience creating IP addressing plans and network designs
Advanced technical documentation, presentation, and writing skills
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and Visio
Exposure to SD WAN technologies
Ability to work in or support environments using Fujitsu network solutions
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
Leadership capabilities with potential to grow into lead or senior roles
Expert level industry certifications preferred (e.g., CCIE)
Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Nice to have:

Network scripting experience
Project management and technical leadership experience
Advanced certifications

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $60-$70 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate''s education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
