We are seeking an experienced Azure Integration Services Consultant (with TIBCO experience) to join a large-scale enterprise integration modernization program. This role sits at the intersection of legacy middleware operations and cloud-native integration architecture: the consultant will develop and enhancing enterprise integration using TIBCO BusinessWorks (BW) 5.x integration landscape while simultaneously designing, building, and migrating integrations to Microsoft Azure Integration Services (AIS).
This is a dual-mandate role suited to a hands-on developer who is equally comfortable developing and enhancing enterprise integrations using TIBCO BusinessWorks and EMS while simultaneously designing and delivering Azure Integration Services migration solutions leveraging Azure Logic Apps, Service Bus, and API Management. You will work across a 5–7 year phased migration roadmap, contributing to migration assessments, coexistence architecture, cutover planning, and steady-state operations — all while partnering closely with enterprise architects, business stakeholders, and onshore/offshore delivery teams.
The ideal candidate has deep TIBCO BW 5.x expertise, strong Azure Integration Services engineering skills, and prior experience on middleware/platform modernization programs (not just greenfield cloud builds).
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a dual-platform integration specialist across TIBCO BW 5.x (legacy) and Azure Integration Services (target state).
Design, develop, test, deploy, and support integration solutions on both platforms concurrently throughout the migration period.
Participate in migration assessment and discovery — cataloging existing TIBCO processes, dependencies, data contracts, and business criticality.
Translate legacy TIBCO integration logic (BW processes, adapters, EMS messaging patterns) into equivalent or improved Azure-native patterns.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) for both TIBCO and Azure artifacts where applicable.
Support platform coexistence — ensuring TIBCO and Azure systems interoperate reliably during transition (dual-run, parallel processing, data reconciliation).
Document architecture, design decisions, runbooks, and migration artifacts for audit, knowledge transfer, and compliance.
Provide technical estimates, risk assessments, and effort sizing for migration waves.
Mentor junior developers and offshore team members on both TIBCO and Azure best practices.
Act as a trusted technical advisor/consultant to business and IT stakeholders on modernization decisions.
TIBCO Application Support & Development Responsibilities
Develop new and enhance existing TIBCO BW 5.x processes using Palettes (JMS, JDBC, File, SOAP, HTTP, ActiveMatrix adapters, etc.).
Administer and troubleshoot TIBCO EMS — queues, topics, bridges, fault tolerance, and performance tuning.
Design and maintain XML/XSD schemas and XSLT transformations for enterprise data exchange.
Build and maintain SOAP and REST web services exposed/consumed via TIBCO.
Perform code reviews, unit testing, and deployment of TIBCO EAR/application packages across environments (Dev/Test/UAT/Prod).
Maintain technical documentation for existing TIBCO interfaces to support migration assessment.
Azure Integration Services Responsibilities
Design and develop cloud-native integration solutions using Azure Logic Apps (Consumption & Standard), Azure Functions, and Azure Service Bus (queues/topics).
Build and manage APIs using Azure API Management (policies, versioning, throttling, security, developer portal).
Design solutions leveraging Azure Storage (Blob, Queue, Table) for staging, archiving, and asynchronous processing patterns.
Implement Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights for observability, alerting, and end-to-end tracing.
Apply Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP) — content-based routing, message translation, claim check, saga/orchestration, pub-sub — in Azure-native designs.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps (YAML pipelines, ARM/Bicep/Terraform templates, automated testing, release gates) for Azure integration assets.
Implement security best practices: Managed Identity, Key Vault, OAuth2/OpenID Connect, mutual TLS, and network isolation (VNET integration, Private Endpoints).
Design for scalability, resiliency, and cost-optimization (auto-scaling, retry/circuit-breaker patterns, dead-letter handling).
Collaborate with Cloud/Infra teams on landing zone, networking, and governance requirements for integration workloads.
Technical Skills Required
Mandatory (Must-Have):
TIBCO BusinessWorks 5.x and TIBCO EMS
Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management, Functions)
Strong XML/XSD/XSLT, SOAP and REST API development
At least one end-to-end legacy-to-cloud integration migration delivered
Experience Requirements
Total IT Experience: 12+ years in enterprise integration/middleware development.
TIBCO BW 5.x Experience: Minimum 7 years hands-on design, development, support experience
Azure Integration Services Experience: Minimum 5 years hands-on
Migration/Modernization Program Experience: At least 1 full migration lifecycle involving legacy middleware to cloud-native platforms. Migration to Azure IS preferred
Consulting/Client-Facing Experience: Prior experience working as a consultant or vendor resource engaging directly with client architects and business stakeholders.
Offshore/Onshore Delivery Model Experience: Comfortable operating in a distributed team model with overlapping working hours and hand-off protocols.

Soft Skills and Leadership Expectations
Strong stakeholder management skills — able to communicate technical trade-offs to both business sponsors and engineering peers.
Demonstrated ability to operate independently while supporting legacy systems and delivering new cloud capability in parallel.
Consulting mindset: proactively identifies risks, proposes options, and drives decisions rather than waiting for direction.
Effective written and verbal communication for architecture documentation, migration proposals, and executive status reporting.
Mentorship and knowledge transfer — willingness to upskill TIBCO-focused teams on Azure and vice versa.
Comfortable working with offshore/onshore hybrid teams, including flexible overlap hours when needed
