Position SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Google Cloud Platform Developer with a strong Finance domain background to design, build, and operate cloud-native data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) supporting enterprise Finance use cases. This role partners closely with Finance, FP&A, Accounting, SAP functional teams, and analytics/planning teams to deliver scalable, governed, and audit-ready data pipelines and datasets.
The ideal candidate combines deep Google Cloud Platform engineering expertise with hands-on finance knowledge (e.g., GL, P&L, Balance Sheet, subledger data, planning drivers) and experience integrating SAP S/4HANA Finance data into BigQuery to support reporting, planning, and advanced analytics.
What you will do- Design and develop scalable, cloud-native data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform using BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer (Airflow), Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions.
- Build optimized BigQuery data models for Finance datasets (Actuals, Plan, Forecast, Headcount, Allocations).
- Implement CDC and batch ingestion patterns from SAP S/4HANA, BW, and subledger systems into BigQuery.
- Develop reusable data frameworks, SQL transformations, and orchestration pipelines following engineering best practices.
- Translate Finance and Accounting requirements (GL, AP, AR, P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Cost Centers, Profit Centers) into scalable data models.
- Support driver-based planning use cases (e.g., headcount, volume, rate drivers) for integration with tools like Anaplan and SAP Analytics Cloud.
- Enable reconciliation, traceability, and drill-through between source systems and analytical datasets.
- Partner with Finance stakeholders to ensure semantic consistency and financial accuracy.
- Implement data quality checks, controls, and monitoring aligned with SOX and internal audit requirements.
- Enforce data governance standards including metadata, lineage, naming conventions, and access controls.
- Design datasets that support audit trails, period close validation, and reconciled reporting.
- Enable consumption of finance datasets by SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), BI tools, and planning platforms.
- Support performance optimization for high-volume financial data and complex queries.
- Collaborate with Data Science and AI teams to enable AI/ML use cases on curated finance data.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for data workflows using Git-based version control.
- Monitor and optimize Google Cloud Platform cost, performance, and reliability for finance workloads.
- Participate in production support, incident resolution, and operational readiness activities.
Required Qualifications- 6+ years of experience in data engineering or cloud development, with 3+ years on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
- Strong hands-on experience with BigQuery (SQL, performance tuning, partitioning).
- Experience building pipelines using Cloud Composer (Airflow), Dataflow, or equivalent.
- Solid understanding of Finance & Accounting concepts (Actuals vs Plan, GL structure, P&L, Balance Sheet).
- Experience integrating SAP Finance data (S/4HANA, BW, or ECC) into cloud data platforms.
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python preferred).
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance, including integration with BW, SAC, or BPC.
- Experience in group reporting, management reporting, and planning transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of ABAP debugging, AMDP routines, FOX formulas, BAdIs, or HANA-based modeling.
- Experience with hybrid SAP landscapes involving cloud and on-premise data sources.
- Familiarity with data governance, authorization design, and row-level security.
- Experience in Agile delivery models, DevOps practices, and release management.
- SAP certifications in BW/4HANA, SAC, or BPC are a plus.
Education- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, or related field.

Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:
$92,700.00 - $185,400.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
