Introduction:
The team is responsible for building and maintaining a critical financial trading platform that processes high-volume transactions in real time. The role focuses on developing and optimizing the Calypso-based front-office trading system, ensuring low-latency performance and seamless integration with downstream risk and settlement systems.
Responsibilities:
- Configuring and customizing the Calypso platform
- Writing trade lifecycle workflows
- Building interfaces with external systems
- Collaborating closely with quantitative analysts, traders, and operations teams to implement new product types and regulatory changes
Requirements:
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
- 3+ years of hands-on Calypso development experience, including trade lifecycle, workflow, and reporting
- Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8+) and SQL (Oracle preferred)
- Experience with Calypso APIs, including the Calypso SDK and trade event handlers
- Knowledge of fixed income, derivatives, or FX products and their trade lifecycles
- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a production trading environment
- Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration with traders and quants
- Bachelor''''s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
