Role Overview

We are looking for a Manager I, Cyber Security Engineering to lead a team of security engineers responsible for designing, implementing, and operating enterprise cybersecurity solutions. The role will focus on strengthening security controls, improving detection and response capabilities, managing security engineering projects, and partnering with technology and business teams to reduce cyber risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Cyber Security Engineers.
  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise security solutions across network, endpoint, cloud, identity, application, and data environments.
  • Drive security engineering initiatives aligned with organizational security strategy and risk priorities.
  • Oversee security monitoring, detection, prevention, and response capabilities.
  • Evaluate and implement cybersecurity technologies, tools, and platforms.
  • Develop and maintain security architecture, engineering standards, configurations, and technical documentation.
  • Partner with Infrastructure, Cloud, DevOps, Application Development, IT, and Risk teams to embed security into technology environments.
  • Lead security investigations, vulnerability remediation, and resolution of complex security issues.
  • Establish automation and continuous improvement across security operations and engineering processes.
  • Support incident response, threat detection, and security incident investigations as required.
  • Track project milestones, risks, dependencies, and operational metrics.
  • Ensure security controls meet applicable regulatory, compliance, and internal policy requirements.
  • Stay current with emerging cyber threats, attack techniques, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong experience with enterprise security technologies such as SIEM, EDR/XDR, IAM, vulnerability management, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, or cloud security platforms.
  • Experience with security engineering, architecture, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of network security, endpoint security, identity and access management, cloud security, and incident response.
  • Experience working with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or other cloud environments.
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks and practices such as NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, and secure engineering principles.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder-management, and leadership skills.
