Tableau Developer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Tableau Developer with strong expertise in Tableau dashboard development, SQL, data analytics, observability, performance monitoring, and alerting. The consultant will be responsible for designing and developing a unified monitoring dashboard that provides real-time or near-real-time visibility into agent performance, transaction activity, response times, failures, and latency.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience building enterprise Tableau dashboards from multiple data sources and translating operational monitoring requirements into actionable visualizations and KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

Tableau Dashboard Development

• Design and develop a single consolidated Tableau dashboard providing centralized visibility across agents, conversations, and transactions.

• Build interactive dashboards, reports, KPIs, scorecards, and drill-down visualizations.

• Develop filters and views by agent, transaction, status, failure type, time period, and performance metrics.

• Optimize Tableau workbooks and dashboards for performance and scalability.

• Create dashboards suitable for both operational monitoring and management reporting.

Observability & Performance Monitoring

• Develop dashboards to monitor agent and transaction performance.

• Track average, minimum, and maximum response times for individual conversations and transactions.

• Monitor overall transaction and conversation volumes across all agents.

• Identify unresponsive agents and agents experiencing performance degradation or latency.

• Monitor successful, failed, pending, and timed-out transactions.

• Develop trend analysis for response time, latency, failures, and transaction volume.

• Identify recurring performance issues and abnormal behavior.

Monitoring & Alerting

• Implement proactive monitoring and alerting based on predefined business and technical thresholds.

• Configure alerts when transaction or failure rates exceed defined limits.

• Support notifications for continuous, recurring, or abnormal failures.

• Monitor latency spikes and response-time degradation.

• Develop visual indicators for critical, warning, and healthy agent/transaction states.

• Support near-real-time monitoring to enable rapid identification of production issues.

Data & SQL

• Develop complex SQL queries to extract and transform monitoring and transaction data.

• Work with relational databases, data warehouses, APIs, and other enterprise data sources.

• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks.

• Build efficient datasets and data models to support Tableau dashboards.

• Optimize queries and data extracts for high-volume transaction environments.

• Integrate data from multiple sources into a unified reporting layer.

Analytics & Reporting

• Develop historical trends for agent performance, latency, failures, and transaction volumes.

• Provide drill-down from enterprise-level KPIs to individual agents and transactions.

• Identify high-performing and underperforming agents.

• Create operational dashboards for support and engineering teams.

• Provide actionable insights to help identify root causes of performance issues.
