Role Overview
We are engaging a contract SAP Integration Architect/Lead to own the integration workstream for a major S/4HANA transformation program. This hybrid role combines architectural ownership — designing the target integration landscape, standards, and governance across SAP and non-SAP systems — with hands-on delivery leadership, directing a team of integration developers and coordinating with functional, technical, and infrastructure workstreams through cutover and hypercare. The successful candidate will be the single point of accountability for integration scope, design decisions, and delivery quality on the program.
Required Qualifications
• 10+ years in SAP integration, including at least 3 full-lifecycle S/4HANA implementations or transformations (greenfield or brownfield)
• 3+ years in an architect or integration lead capacity, with direct accountability for integration design decisions on a program of comparable scale
• Deep hands-on expertise with SAP Integration Suite / Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), including iFlow design, adapters, and API Management
• Strong working knowledge of SAP BTP architecture and how integration services fit into the broader platform strategy
• Experience with SAP PI/PO (including migration or coexistence strategies to CPI), IDocs, BAPIs/RFCs, and OData services
• Proven experience integrating S/4HANA with third-party and legacy systems (e.g., CRM, e-commerce, WMS/TMS, banking, tax, EDI/B2B networks)
• Experience leading and managing a team of integration developers, including offshore/nearshore or SI partner resources
• Strong understanding of integration security patterns (OAuth2, SAML, certificate-based auth) and data privacy considerations in cross-system data flows
• Demonstrated experience running interface cutover and hypercare for a major ERP program
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting architecture decisions to steering committees and executive stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience
