A rapidly growing industrial technology platform is seeking a senior engineer to join a high-impact product and engineering team.

This team builds and supports a platform that connects customers with complex manufacturing needs to a large, distributed network of production partners. The work spans backend services that coordinate long-running, asynchronous workflows; internal tools used by operations and partner teams; and data systems that align pricing, capacity, logistics, and quality across the ecosystem. Much of the platform must accurately model real-world manufacturing constraints, requiring thoughtful system design and close collaboration across engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
As the platform continues to scale, engineers work across a mix of greenfield development and foundational systems that directly support the core business. Engineering plays a central role in enabling reliability, efficiency, and trust across the network.
This is a strong opportunity for a technically senior, product-minded engineer who enjoys working on distributed systems, navigating ambiguity, and building software with tangible real-world impact.
What They're Looking For
- Ability to commute to Lexington, KY three days a week.
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally at the staff-level or higher
- Strong experience designing and building backend systems in production environments
- Deep experience with distributed systems, including event-driven and asynchronous architectures
- Demonstrated ability to design and reason about complex domain models and data systems
- Proficiency with TypeScript/Node.js and Python; experience with Rust is a plus
- Familiarity with React or other modern frontend frameworks
- Experience working in AWS or similar cloud environments
- Strong cross-functional communication skills
