The iPhone Hardware Engineering team has an extraordinary opportunity for a passionate electrical engineer for the position of Hardware Engineer - System Technologies. This position is a multi-disciplinary and cross-functional lead engineering role encompassing different aspects of power conversion system designs.

Description

In this visible role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with, and provide architectural guidance to cross-functional engineering teams in defining and establishing system power architecture requirements for new products.

Minimum Qualifications

3+ years of experience, BS/MS in relevant field.

Must have strong EE fundamentals and problems solving skills.

Must have experience in power electronics related design and development, including DC-DC converters and LDOs, PMIC or PMU's.

Knowledge of power, analog and integrated circuit design fundamentals, process development, and analytical methodology for high-quality designs.

Experience in architecture design of complex power conversion systems or power management ICs.

Strong laboratory board-level testing, debugging and validation experience with lab equipment, such as oscilloscopes, electronic loads, and signal generators.

Ability to employ scientific and systematic methods to troubleshoot and drive resolutions of multi-disciplinary system issues.

Experience in layout planning and routing strategies.

Ability to relate electrical performance to physical layout and system level solutions, including passive components and controls.

Experience in cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

7+years of experience. PhD a +, in relevant field.

Experience in taking projects from the conceptual phase through product ramp-up and mass production.

Knowledge and work experience of various integrated circuit process technologies, design flows, reliability, and other related topics.

Experience performing or guiding complex power distribution networks (PDN) design for sophisticated power conversion systems. Experience with PMIC or PMU's.

Knowledge and Hands-on experience in circuit and EM simulation tools, such as Cadence/Sigrity, ADS/Spice/Spectre, Ansys HFSS/Maxwell/SIWave, and CST.
