Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Development Lead / PSS Architect to lead technical delivery across Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS) implementations. This role involves designing and implementing scalable solutions for state government agencies, focusing on licensing, permitting, and inspection workflows.
The ideal candidate will act as the primary technical decision-maker, driving architecture, development standards, integrations, and deployment across complex, multi-environment systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end solution architecture for Salesforce OmniStudio (Vlocity) implementations
- Design and configure:
- OmniScripts
- FlexCards
- DataRaptors
- Integration Procedures
- Lead technical design discussions and sprint planning
- Conduct code reviews and enforce development standards
- Develop solutions using:
- Apex (classes & triggers)
- Lightning Web Components (LWC)
- Declarative tools (Flows, Validation Rules, etc.)
- Manage deployments across environments (Dev, SIT, UAT, Production) using SFDX & Vlocity CLI
- Build and maintain REST/SOAP API integrations and platform events
- Lead data migration efforts (licensing, regulatory data)
- Design Digital Experience (Community) portals for public users
- Implement security models (roles, permission sets, sharing rules)
- Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with Salesforce support
- Collaborate with stakeholders, BAs, and Product Owners
- Contribute to reusable frameworks and best practices
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of Salesforce Development (Apex, LWC, Visualforce)
- 3+ years of OmniStudio (Vlocity) experience
- Strong experience in:
- Integration (REST/SOAP APIs)
- Deployment tools (SFDX, Vlocity CLI)
- Multi-environment release management
- Hands-on experience with:
- Lightning Flows
- Validation Rules
- Approval Processes
- Experience building Salesforce Experience Cloud (Community) portals
- Strong knowledge of data models, security, and access control
- Experience in data migration (ETL processes)
- Agile/Scrum delivery experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS)
- Background in government or regulated environments
- Salesforce Certifications:
- Platform Developer I (Required)
- Platform Developer II (Preferred)
- OmniStudio Certification (Preferred)
