Summary

The SAP FICO - Project Systems position is primarily responsible for supporting the SAP S4 Finance modules for users with in-depth expertise in Project Systems and the corresponding cross-functional areas. Knowledgeable and experienced with other modules such as SD, MM & PP, along with the corresponding business processes and related project implementation. The candidate will use in-depth analysis skills, business knowledge, and technical expertise to implement effective solutions and provide support services to end users. Additional responsibilities include managing the development and maintenance of system documentation, procedures, and standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Key member of the configuration team responsible for the functional design, configuration, and validation of the SAP solution supporting of Project Systems (PS) and integrated areas.
  • Opportunity to complete a holistic solution by defining functional design gaps and solutions for objects to add to the system.
  • Facilitate training sessions for the users where appropriate.
  • Insure appropriate support and new development documentation is followed (i.e. scope, design, test plans, issues and cutover lists, project plans).
  • Demonstrate effective team skills with strong oral and written communications and deliverables.
  • Facilitate the issue resolution process by tracking the status of issues in process.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 8+ years of deep, hands-on experience with SAP Project Systems (PS)
  • Proven functional/technical proficiency with at least 4 full life cycle SAP implementations
  • Strong knowledge of how SAP PS integrates with other modules such as SD, FICO, MM, and PP
  • Expertise in PS networks, scheduling, planning, and designing solutions for Engineer-to-Order (ETO) processes
  • Extensive experience configuring RA keys and setting up complex settlement rules
  • Experience working with PS user exits, SAC reports, and CDS views
  • Solid understanding of workflows and exits across the project life cycle
  • Knowledge of using Project Systems for capital expenditure and production processes
  • Familiarity with BPC optimized for SAP S/4HANA
  • Strong techno-functional skills with the ability to perform detailed analysis
  • Experience integrating PS with Asset Accounting (AA) and General Ledger (GL) in a multi-ledger environment
  • Experience defining systems strategy, developing systems requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines
  • Strong project management, configuration and design skills
  • Must have a demonstrated strong desire to excel and be committed to building eminence
  • Familiarity with SDLC processes such as Agile, Waterfall etc.
  • Strong tracking, coordination and project planning skills
  • Able to follow change management procedures and internal guidelines
  • Demonstrated initiative with commitment and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while still maintaining high quality standards

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in Midstream Oil & Gas industry is a plus
  • SAP FICO or PS Certifications are a plus
