IT Support Specialist Join Life Cycle Engineering in support of the NCIS IT support services mission headquartered in Quantico, Virginia. The Information Technology Directorate (ITD) supports the NCIS core mission areas to investigate and defeat criminal, terrorist, and foreign intelligence threats by planning for and providing services through appropriate use of the people, equipment, technology, and infrastructure resources of the United States (U.S.) Navy and Marine Corps.
This position is expected to start in Q3 of 2026
Position Summary:As an IT Support Specialist, you will manage and operate a centralized service desk and oversee user support and help desk specialist resolving request/problem incidents.
Clearance Requirements: Fully adjudicated Top Secret clearance (SCI eligibility).
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: - Provides Tier 1-3 technical support for hardware, software, and telecommunications.
- Manages service requests via ticketing systems, performs hardware troubleshooting, and maintains up-to-date IT equipment databases.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience: - 1-2 years of IT support experience with an Associate's degree (or equivalent experience).
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to obtain necessary technical certifications for L3 support.
Physical Demands and Expectations: - Travel will be required to support this task (up to 25% travel)
- Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting (up to 30 pounds), and standing; occasional prolonged sitting
- Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance
- Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment
