Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior CorVision Developer to support and maintain mission-critical legacy applications running on the OpenVMS platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in CorVision, OpenVMS, DCL scripting, RDB, and production support. This role is critical in ensuring high system availability while assisting with the organization''''s multi-year modernization initiative.

Key Responsibilities

Legacy Platform Support

• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for OpenVMS environments.
• Support, troubleshoot, and maintain applications developed using CorVision.
• Develop and maintain DCL scripts for system administration and automation.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of business-critical legacy applications.

Database & Application Support

• Support applications utilizing OpenVMS RDB and Oracle SQL databases.
• Monitor production environments and resolve application issues within SLA timelines.
• Perform performance tuning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for production incidents.
• Coordinate application releases, upgrades, and configuration changes.

Production Support

• Lead incident, problem, and change management activities.
• Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes to prevent recurring issues.
• Handle critical production incidents and customer escalations.
• Maintain application monitoring, backup, and recovery procedures.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to ensure smooth operations.

Documentation & Knowledge Management

• Create and maintain operational, support, recovery, and troubleshooting documentation.
• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of known issues and resolutions.
• Provide knowledge transfer sessions and mentor junior team members.

Modernization Support

• Assist with migration from OpenVMS to modern cloud-aligned platforms.
• Support data migration, process mapping, and modernization initiatives.
• Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams during transformation projects.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience supporting OpenVMS environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with CorVision development and support.
• Expertise in DCL (Digital Command Language) scripting.
• Strong experience with OpenVMS RDB database.
• Experience working with Oracle SQL.
• Strong production support and incident management experience.
• Experience performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) concepts.
• Experience supporting mission-critical enterprise applications.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

• Lead production support activities across multiple teams.

• Mentor team members and support knowledge-sharing initiatives.
