Job Title: Data Warehouse Testing

Location: Berkley Heights NJ/Alpharetta GA On-site (5 Days/Week)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer with 5+ years of specialized experience in Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and ETL testing. In this role, you will be responsible for validating complex data pipelines, designing comprehensive test strategies, transforming intricate business logic into SQL/PL-SQL queries, and ensuring data integrity across data marts and enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Strategy & Planning: Evaluate the testability of business/system requirements (BRDs/SRDs), design end-to-end test plans, and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM).
• ETL & Data Warehouse Testing: Design, write, and execute complex SQL/PL-SQL queries to validate data transformations, data governance principles, entity-relationship models, and data marts.
• Database Profiling & Test Data Management: Profile database tables during test case design to identify test scenarios and prepare accurate test data.
• Test Execution & Quality Lifecycle: Lead test execution across various testing types (e.g., data validation, regression, reconciliation) through the complete Software Test Life Cycle (STLC) and Defect Life Cycle.
• Defect Management & UAT Coordination: Identify, log, and track defects using tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, or Rally. Coordinate UAT activities, including test case review and execution support.
• Automation (Plus): Leverage automation tools (such as Coalesce) to automate SQL scripts and streamline testing workflows.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience focusing on enterprise-level applications and Data Warehouse/ETL testing.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in SQL/PL-SQL writing and data modeling (understanding Entity-Relationship Diagrams).
• Methodologies: In-depth knowledge of STLC, Test Case Life Cycle, Defect Life Cycle, and Information Governance principles in testing contexts.
• Defect Tracking: Hands-on experience with tools like Azure DevOps (AzDO), Jira, or Rally.
• Tools (Preferred): Familiarity with Coalesce or similar SQL automation tools is a strong plus.
• Work Arrangement: Willingness to work on-site 5 days a week at the client office.
