They are seeking a Tech Lead / Software Engineer III to architect and build scalable, cloud-native backend services within AWS (strong focus on Lambda and EC2). This role requires hands-on development in Java (required) along with Python or Node.js, with a strong emphasis on API integrations and microservices architecture. This is a full-time, fully remote leadership position.

This is a high-impact, hands-on lead role where you will guide a team of 3-5 engineers while actively coding in AWS. The ideal candidate brings deep AWS development expertise, strong architectural experience, and the ability to mentor engineers while building secure, scalable systems. This position offers technical ownership, leadership growth, and the opportunity to shape a cloud-first FinTech platform supporting businesses across the U.S.

Required Skills & Experience
5-7+ years of software development experience
At least 1 year of experience in a technical lead capacity
Extensive hands-on AWS development experience, specifically Lambda and EC2
High proficiency coding in AWS cloud-native environments
Strong proficiency in Java (required)
Professional experience with Python OR Node.js
Strong experience with API integrations and RESTful services
Experience designing and developing scalable microservices architectures
Experience with relational databases (MSSQL, MySQL)
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies

You will lead the end-to-end lifecycle of cloud-native service development, including architectural design, implementation, deployment, and optimization. Responsibilities include writing production-level AWS code, defining architectural standards, conducting code reviews, mentoring engineers, and ensuring robust API integrations across internal and third-party systems. You will collaborate closely with product, QA, and operations teams to align engineering execution with business goals and regulatory requirements within the financial services domain.
