Electrical Engineer (PCB Focus)

Location: Arden Hills, Minnesota (Onsite)

Duration: Permanent/Direct Hire

Role Overview

This position is responsible for the full product lifecycle of burn-in systems. This includes customizing power delivery systems to meet customer expectations, producing schematics, selecting machine control hardware, integrating automation solutions, creating design verifications, and supporting field service in power and automation. The role serves as the subject matter expert on industrial system power design, system safety regulation conformance, and facility interconnection requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the full product lifecycle of the power delivery system, including conceptualization, prototype development, testing, and design finalization.
  • Produce system schematics, panel layouts, wire lists, bills of materials, and procedures to support operations.
  • Select and specify machine control hardware, including programmable logic controllers and related modules.
  • Communicate directly with customers to clarify power requirements and customize power delivery systems.
  • Serve as the technical expert for electrical machine safety standards and industrial power interconnection.
  • Create design verifications and manufacturing tests to confirm the functionality of electrical and automation systems.
  • Troubleshoot with Production and Purchasing to resolve issues with product design and implementation.
  • Partner with Sales and Field Service to support customer issues and develop Engineering and Field Change Notices.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to determine the root cause of errors and develop corrective action plans.
  • Communicate engineering information across teams to facilitate project completion.
  • Provide technical support to junior team members and review project schematic work.
  • Lead initial and ongoing design reviews.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in industrial system design and power control.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial power systems.
  • Knowledge of Electrical Safety Standards such as NFPA 79, NFPA 70, IEC 60204, SEMI S22, or UL508.
  • A thorough understanding of modern electronic systems and component materials.
  • Experience designing and developing electromechanical assemblies.
  • Experience with international low voltage (
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with multiple departments.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with the automation of industrial electromechanical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP Systems and Manufacturing Systems.


Physical Demands

This role involves sedentary work, including sitting for extended periods. It requires the ability to periodically stand, walk, crouch, stoop, bend, and reach. The position requires operating a computer and other office equipment for extended periods. Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. This role may require lifting and/or moving objects up to 60 pounds on an infrequent basis.
