W2-Workday Financials SME (Workday Customer Accounts/AR)

Overview

Our client is seeking a hands-on Workday Financials Consultant with deep expertise in Workday Customer Accounts and Accounts Receivable (AR) to help execute a large-scale optimization and reimplementation initiative.

This is not a production support role. The organization recently completed a Workday assessment and optimization review and is looking for a consultant who can take the recommendations, validate them, and drive execution. The ideal candidate will be a strong functional consultant who has led Workday Customer Accounts implementations or major reimplementation efforts and can independently own a workstream.

Responsibilities

• Execute a Workday Customer Accounts optimization and reimplementation roadmap
• Configure and redesign Workday Customer Accounts and Accounts Receivable processes
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into functional solutions
• Review existing Workday recommendations and drive implementation activities
• Perform business process design and optimization
• Lead field mapping and functional data design activities
• Support the separation and redesign of Accounts Receivable processes across multiple business areas
• Provide functional guidance on future-state AR and billing operations
• Collaborate with project management and business teams to prioritize and execute initiatives
• Support future integration efforts from a functional perspective, including Workday Cash Application solutions and other financial platforms

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Workday Financials
• Deep expertise in Workday Customer Accounts
• Strong background in Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience leading Workday implementations, reimplementations, or major optimization initiatives
• Business process design and transformation experience
• Hands-on Workday configuration experience
• Field mapping and functional solution design expertise
• Ability to independently drive workstreams and deliver results with minimal oversight
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Healthcare industry experience

Grants management experience

Experience supporting research organizations or academic medical centers

Workday Cash Application experience

Experience with financial system integrations from a functional perspective

Familiarity with Envera Encore integrations
