Role Overview
Seeking an experienced GitHub Enterprise Server (GHES) Implementation Architect to design, deploy, migrate, and optimize GitHub Enterprise in large-scale enterprise on-prem/hybrid environments. The role will lead DevSecOps transformation initiatives, CI/CD modernization, repository migration, security integration, and developer platform engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and implement GitHub Enterprise Server (GHES)
Lead migrations from Bitbucket/GitLab/Azure DevOps/SVN
Design scalable HA/DR GitHub environments
Implement GitHub Actions and self-hosted runners
Integrate SSO/SAML, LDAP/AD, Okta, and security tooling
Enable DevSecOps practices using GitHub Advanced Security
Automate platform provisioning using Terraform/Ansible
Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, and Engineering teams
Define enterprise repository governance and CI/CD standards
Required Skills
Strong experience with GitHub Enterprise Server (GHES)
GitHub Actions & GitHub Advanced Security
DevOps & CI/CD architecture
Kubernetes/OpenShift, Docker
Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins
SAML/SSO, IAM, LDAP/Active Directory
Cloud & hybrid infrastructure architecture
Enterprise migration and platform modernization experience
Preferred Experience
10+ years in DevOps/Platform Engineering
Large enterprise implementation experience
Banking, healthcare, telecom, or retail domain exposure
GitHub certifications preferred
